Privacy Policy — PDF Diff
Last updated: 2026-06-26
PDF Diff is a browser extension that compares two PDF files and highlights the differences between them. Your privacy is the default: everything happens on your own device.
What data we collect
None. PDF Diff does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information or document content.
How your PDFs are handled
- PDFs you open are processed entirely within your browser.
- PDF contents are never uploaded and are not sent to any backend or third-party service.
- The extension uses no host permissions and makes no network requests with your document data.
- No account, login, or cloud sync is used.
- When you close the PDF Diff page, the loaded PDF data is discarded from in-memory state. Nothing is persisted.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
PDF Diff contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. There are no cookies, fingerprinting, or telemetry of any kind.
Permissions
PDF Diff requests only the minimum needed to open its own comparison page from the toolbar button. It does not request access to your browsing activity, your tabs' contents, or any websites.
Children's privacy
PDF Diff does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
